The Student Library Information Support Team consists of grade 5-8 students who volunteer their time during lunch to work in the Media Center. Working in teams, they perform clerical chores, shelves books, and assist other students doing research. It is a great way to serve your school community. Students who faithfully serve for four years receive a school service certificate at graduation. Many of our student pages have received jobs in the public community library as student aides.
Membership is selective. Team spirit and good library skills are essential.
Guidelines:
Pages must report on their assigned day and time unless they have been excused by the librarian and they must sign in.
Pages must remain in the Media Center for the entire period.
Pages must not eat while working.
Pages must sign off on completed tasks.
Pages should be courteous to each other and demonstrate good team spirit.
Pages may decide to resign at any time but must notify the librarian in person and finish the work's week.
The librarian reserves the right to dismiss any page who is not following the guidelines.
